Left Torrance really late and drove to the trailhead in the dark, pulling over at 4am. I woke up at 8am, checked out the Cerrusite Cabin (door sign said Nelson Cabin) on the way to the trailhead. Cool views from the summit, and a lot of DPS group entries. I was the second one to sign in for 2006. On the drive out I stopped at the Boxcar Cabin (sign said Buckhorn). (wk 44, day 1)
