I saw Steve Hall's report on U2s Fallen Joshua Tree from early March. Then I saw Quandary's photos from early April. I had “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for” going thru my head. So when I left after work, I had U2 playing on my iPod. I found a place to pull over and sleep. In the morning I drove to the site, and as I pulled over “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for” played. I started walking, and 2 minutes later two F-18s flew over me (flying low, really loud). Pretty cool! I stayed by "the fallen tree" for an hour, taking photos, looking thru the U2ube (register), watching lizards come up to the tree, just soaking it all in. What a cool spot! ADDING MORE PIX May 4, 2008 - took SnowDude to the fallen Joshua Tree after snowboarding. A lot of people have visited in two weeks, and there's a lot more rock are than last time. (wk 120, day 3)
