We drove to Ashford Mining road from Gold Valley in the morning. That gave us a late start. We took a more interesting route to Ashford Peak, but came down the traditional way, with a stop at Ashford Mine. On the way we found a mining tunnel with remains of a bighorn sheep and saw my first chuckwalla. (wk 114, day 3)
