I took a fall while snowboarding on Aug 10 at Coronet Ski Resort in New Zealand. Four days later I took another fall while heli-boarding. By the end of the 10 day trip I could barely lift my right arm. In the next few months my chiro worked on it and it got better, til I took two falls hiking mid Oct (slipped on snow-over-ice and landed with my arm forward, then marbles on dry fall and landed on my butt/hands). She scheduledd an MRI. I got results the day I left for Australia (Nov 4) and had my first appt at Kerlan-Jobe for surgery the day after I returned to CA (Dec 3). With holidays and vacations, surgery was scheduled for Jan 19. They did a great job, and so far I've been pain free (it could be the drugs, stopped taking them Jan 23). It will be a long recovery.
12/24/08: totally out of it. Waking up after tooth extraction/bone graft. While getting teeth cleaned 12/15, found out an old root canal cracked causing a deep pocket. Saw surgeon 12/19 to check tooth, extracted 12/24. It didn't hurt, but can't do surgery if there's infection.
