My legs were pretty sore from the last 2.5 mi in 50 min yesterday, to catch the shuttle in time to get a table at Whiskey Creek. My legs have not moved that fast in months, and I was feeling it. MC Reinhart had just posted her quote "No matter how small the possibility, it is still a possibility." So I took off for a short hike around Twin Lakes to check out some options for the next trip. Part way around the lake I saw my first bald eagle ever! Then I followed footprints up Twin Falls, then walked across Mamie (my first time walking across the middle of a frozen lake), then thru the trees and up to Lake George. So that small hike turned into an awesome day in the mountains! (wk 168, day 3)
