2012 (Nov 1) Onion Valley to Robinson Lake
I woke up and it was windy outside. When the sun hit Onion Valley I drove up there and started hiking. It was cold out, and with strong gusts of wind I decided to stay low and not do a peak. I was surprised to see a beautiful Blue Heron gliding above the water in the middle of Robinson Lake. It landed on the other side and watched me for the hour I was up there. My down jacket was warm, but my legs were getting cold even with my fleece jacket on top. It was a fast trip back, so I headed for home, but washed the Cooler in Lone Pine first. Lots of desert sand washed off, but it looks good considering the outside damage from wheelin the past 5 days.
